The 18th Annual Tour of Kitchens Features Construction Resources

Construction Resources will be showcased in four homes during the 18th Annual Tour of Kitchens. Presented by the Junior League of Atlanta, this tour will take place on Saturday, March 28 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, March 29 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Each home on the tour will feature many different styles from different designs. This is a great way for those looking to renovate their kitchen to gain ideas and product knowledge. Atlanta Kitchen, a Construction Resources company, supplied kitchen countertops to four of the homes that will be on this tour.

"We are very proud that our products are featured in this year's Tour of Kitchens. This event is a great experience for people to get inspiration for their kitchen renovation and see new products they can use to achieve their dream kitchen," said Mitch Hires, managing partner of Construction Resources.

Homeowners of a small 1944 bungalow turned their kitchen from a typical small bungalow kitchen, to a spacious chef's retreat. To give this space personality, walls were knocked down and choosing the right materials to give this space a classic look. White Marble from Atlanta Kitchen was chosen as the countertop and was paired with a painted brick backsplash to achieve this classic look. This home is located at 2255 Fairhaven Circle in Atlanta, and can be viewed on the tour.

Attendees will also be able to see a 50s style home that went through a whole-house renovation. The goal was to create a space that will connect with the beautifully landscaped backyard. Everything in the kitchen has a place including a built-in desk, pet station and a gorgeous island with Atlanta Kitchen's Calacatta Marble. This home can be viewed on the tour at 960 Oakdale Road in Atlanta.

Homeowners at 3087 Peachtree Drive in Atlanta requested their kitchen to be "theatrical, functional and comfortable." By mixing metals and wood, the homeowners were able to create a modern kitchen with functional storage including two walk-in pantries and glass wall cabinets for dished. Atlanta Kitchen's two-inch thick marble countertops and the deep grey tones of the cabinets create an intimate and dramatic kitchen.

Another home that be on the tour featuring Construction Resources countetops can be views at 5454 Heyward Square Place in Marietta. The homeowners wanted to turn their small, hectic kitchen more open and spacious with a design that would match their Craftsman/Tudor inspired home. Now, their kitchen boasts two large islands featuring walnut cabinets that pair beautifully with the Vintage Delicatus countertops. A pop of red from the pendant lighting to highlight the homeowner's favorite color, and you have a stunning chef's inspired kitchen.

All of the homes that will be on the tour have been featured in this month's Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles magazine, including the four homes that showcase the beautiful products from Construction Resources.

The Tour of Kitchens is a two-day event featuring 14 of Atlanta's finest residential kitchens. This event has raised more than $1 million for the Junior League of Atlanta. With a membership of 3,500, this organization’s mission is to support women, children and education by designing programs and events to engage the community. One week before the Tour of Kitchens, patrons are invited to attend a kick-off party, “Toast of the Tour.”
