Construction Resources Partners with PulteGroup on Built to Honor Program

Construction Resources is excited to be partnering with PulteGroup for the second annual Built to Honor program by donating products from their companies including Atlanta Marble and Atlanta Glass and Mirror. Atlanta Marble will be donating cultured marble tops for the bathrooms and Atlanta Glass and Mirror will be donating wire shelving for closets, bathroom mirrors, bathroom hardware and shower doors. All of these products will go towards the home that is being built for U.S Marine Corps Staff Sgt. David Payton and his family at Harmony on the Lakes in Acworth, GA.

As part of Built to Honor, the public is encouraged to attend in an Operation Finally Home tradition called Notes of Love with Construction Resources' Atlanta Glass and Mirror. Beginning on March 6 at 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., project partners will write Notes of Love on the studs and rafters for the Payton family to read before installation begins.

"We are honored to participate in this worthwhile cause. Pulte has once again gone above and beyond to support a veteran with not just basic shelter, but a beautiful home," says Jody Horne of Atlanta Glass and Mirrors.

Currently, U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Staff Dave Payton resides in Woodstock with his wife Heather and seven beautiful children. This precious family was surprised in December with the announcement that they would receive a mortgage free home from the PulteGroup. Talk about a wonderful holiday!
While overseas in Iraq in 2005, a rocket propelled grenade hit a chemical truck and exploded. Payton was sleeping right next to this chemical truck, sustaining life threatening injuries including several severe burns to his lungs and eyes which have left him blind. Retiring from the Marine Corps with honors, Payton received a Purple Heart, among other awards, in 2011.

The Built to Honor program was created to thank returning war veterans for their sacrifice by building them a brand new, mortgage free home. Launched in 2013, this year, PulteGroup's Built to Honor will be partnering  Operation Finally Home - a nonprofit organization that works with wounded warriors across the nation.
