Fit a Home Steam Shower Into Your Life and Home

The American home is changing. From the living room to the home office, families everywhere are trading tradition for convenience. According to a recent Wall Street Journal article, homeowners are renovating their bathrooms away from soaker tubs and whirlpool baths to home steam showers.

The shift to steam also reflects a desire to invest in wellness, such as softer, more supple skin, breathing enhancement, and an overall improved sense of tranquility.

Steam showers are also a greener option, consuming just two gallons of water for a 20 minute session, vs. 75 gallons to fill a typical whirlpool-type tub.

Home steam showers from Mr. Steam are simple to install and fit easily into your next bathroom remodeling project,” said Martha Orellana, Mr. Steam vice president. “Our generators are about the size of a briefcase, and can be placed inside a cabinet or closet up to 60 feet from your shower enclosure.”

The Wall Street Journal article mentions that homeowners are trying to avoid spending dollars on spaces that are only used on special occasions. Luckily, home steam showers from Mr. Steam are simple to operate and even easier to maintain, using the exclusive AutoFlush no-hands activation after every session. And with spa packages that add aromatherapy, chromatherapy and music therapy to your experience, you can literally enjoy spa time any time at home.

Selecting the Proper Steam Shower Generator Has Steamy Benefits

If you’re currently remodeling your bathroom, then you understand the importance of getting things “just right.” After all, these projects aren’t daily occurrences and need to be handled properly. For homeowners adding a steam shower generator to their current bathroom remodeling project, the same rules apply. Knowing how to select the proper generator for your bathroom is vital to enjoying the full steam experience from Mr. Steam.

In order to choose a steam shower generator for your bathroom, work with your designer or contractor to determine the building materials and dimensions of your shower enclosure. Shower enclosures constructed from non-porous materials such as ceramic or porcelain tiling usually require the use of a smaller generator.

Knowing the dimensions and materials of your shower enclosure will help your bathroom remodeling professional select the generator that’s the perfect size for your bathroom: not too big and not too small.

In order to help bathroom remodeling professionals make the right decisions, Mr. Steam has a free steam shower sizing app for the iPhone, iPad or web browser. Simply have your designer or contractor enter the bathroom dimensions and materials, as well as style and finish options, and the app will display the steam shower generator that is right for your home. The app also provides the suggested list price of the unit. All of this information can be emailed to you or your professional for easy reference.

Construction Resources Expands Its Slab Gallery

To offer remodelers, decorators, homeowners and builders an expanded choice of full-slab products, Construction Resources has expanded its indoor slab gallery by 35 percent. The gallery, located at 224 Rio Circle in Decatur is now 20,000 square feet.

“Handpicking the slab that will be used in a project is an incredibly valuable experience,” said Mitch Hires, co-owner of Construction Resources. “Due to variations in color and veining of natural products, designers and homeowners want to ensure the correct material will be used. Slabs are fully displayed in the indoor gallery, showcasing their unique attributes for buyers to view, rain or shine.”

Construction Resources will now offer full slabs of the new Cambria Waterstone collection, Vetrazzo recycled glass surfaces, an expanded selection of Calacutta Gold marble, French limestone and a more exciting color palette of exotic granites. Additionally, buyers can find sinks, faucets, exotic stone and tile and a wide range of Cambria colors at the gallery.

Construction Resources stocks more than 3,000 slabs and 2,000 remnants at its indoor slab gallery and outdoor slab yard. This allows customers to pick materials from on-site inventory and participate in the slab layout process by placing templates or digitized drawings on slab surfaces prior to fabrication. As a result, customers who select an on-site slab enjoy quicker lead times and installed prices at this one-stop-shop for kitchen and bath needs.

Sterling Custom Homes helping make wishes with $2,500 donation to Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Central and South Texas

For Sterling Custom Homes’ employees, being supported by management means more than just being able to take time off or receiving appropriate health or dental benefits; it’s also about being supported in the employee’s efforts to make an impact in the community. This was recently demonstrated when the Austin home builder made a $2,500 donation to the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Central and South Texas, a nonprofit that grants wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions. The $2,500 was a matching donation by one of the company’s employees, Gary Grambley, the company’s Sales and Marketing Director.

Gary is training for November’s Rock ‘n’ Roll San Antonio Marathon and when he approached Duke McDowell, Sterling Custom Homes’ President, about the Austin luxury real estate company supporting his efforts, Gary was pleasantly surprised to learn that the company would be more than willing to support him.

Gary initially asked for $1,000 to help jumpstart his fundraising efforts and was instead told that the company would match the first $2,500 that he was able to raise. Since then, Gary hasn’t had much trouble convincing his friends and associates to join in on the giving and help him reach his goal.

After learning of Sterling’s willingness to match their donations, people were eager to help. To date, Gary has raised $5,740 and will continue fundraising until the Marathon this November.
